Girls' Camp 2019

Our girls went to Young Women's Girls' Camp a few days after my birthday.  This year, they spent a few days in Star Valley, Wyoming at the cabin of the camp director's in-laws.  Pretty rough, eh? Hee, hee.  I think they had a wonderful time.  I wasn't there, so I don't really know a whole lot, but luckily our YW leaders took TONS of pictures.  Seriously, I'm only showing you a fraction of them!  Here is a photo journal of girls' camp 2019:

They are on their way!  Nick and Ali are in the back row on the right side.  Nicki has her arm around Charly and Ali.  See them?

They did baptisms for the dead at the Star Valley temple on their way into town.  The girls said it was a little mini temple.

Ali on the far left (Physically as well as politically).

Nicki and friends.

The whole crew at the Star Valley Temple.

This poor man is Brother Pendleton. It was his family's property that they girls stayed at.  His car broke down on the way there.

They ate lunch at a park somewhere along the way.

Alison is in the tree with Crew Pendleton (the whole Pendleton family came along). Crew is one of Quinton's best friends in the whole world!

Here is a view of the beautiful property they stayed on.

The first order of business was to get their tents set up.  The Beehives, Mia Maids, and Laurels each had their own tent.

They did a little target shooting.

Nicki said Brother Pendleton offered a dollar to anyone who could hit a certain target.  No one hit it.

Just relaxin' by the fire pit.

The next day, they did a service project.  They pulled weeds and did yard work.

Nicole said it was hard and hot and everyone was sweaty.

But it was also fun.

The woman on the right is my neighbor Kara Halverson..

They had a fun time floating down a river, once they got some sort of mix-up with inflating their tubes taken care of. I don't remember the details, but I know it was a mess and it took a long time.

Okay.  Ready to go.

That's Nicole with her arm out in the air.

Later, they went on a walk/hike/exploring session.  This is Charly and Nicki.

They spent the evenings roasting everything they could in the fire pit - a true girls' camp tradition.

That table looks like heaven to me!

A beautiful Star Valley Sunrise.

A beautiful girl waking up in Star Valley.

Another beautiful girl making her own tie dyed beach towel.

Sisters eating lunch together.

Making some sort of bracelet craft.
Ali is also making the bracelets.  The leader Alison is with is Kanara Fogerty.  She is the sweetest, cutest lady ever!

Ali was one of the YLs (youth leaders) this year. They did a lot of the planning and work for the camp.

Each girl won an award and got some sort of amazing dollar store prize.

What a great group of people!  And what a fun time!
