Well, we made it all the way to January 2nd before we wiped out our medical flex spending account. What the heck?!?!
Here is how I remember the situation: Joshua was lying on the couch when Quinton decided to wrestle him. He jumped on Josh like a crazed, rabid badger. Josh laughed and pushed him off. Quin jumped back on him and Josh pushed him off again. The third time Quin jumped on Josh, something went awry. When Josh pushed him off this time, Quin banged his forehead on the edge of our coffee table.
I was in a different room at the time, my super power is to be able to recognize when a kid's cry means, "I'm angry, mad, upset, etc." and when it means "We're probably going to the doctor's office," so I came running immediately. It was a pretty chaotic few moments with Josh frantically explaining that it wasn't on purpose (he felt so bad), Bronson freaking out, Quinton screaming and dripping blood all over the place, and the girls coming upstairs and asking what all the fuss was about. I am proud of myself for how calm I acted (the girls would disagree. They think I freaked out, but they don't know that I was MUCH better on the outside than I was on the inside). I directed people to get towels, help me scoop him up and get him to the car, etc. and we (Quin, Bronson as my helper, and I) drove immediately to the urgent care clinic.
