A Day to Remember

June 20th was sure an exciting day for our boys. First of all, they discovered a really cool new park in Bountiful.
There was actually a river right next to the playground.

Well, not RIGHT next to it.  You had to cross a cool bridge and go down some steps, but still...it was CLOSE!

The play ground was huge!  It spanned over three terraces, with slides going down the hills.

And the equipment was really age-appropriate for our boys.

They spent a couple hours bouncing back and forth between the playground and the river.

There were a lot of water features to play with (a plus in the warm weather). Bronson is in the red shorts And Josh is in the background in a red shirt. I don't see Quinton. In fact, my one complaint about the park is how hard it was for me to keep an eye on all three boys. It is just to huge and so busy.

Josh made a friend.  They swung and chatted for a long time.  His new friend was at the park with his grandma because his mom was at the hospital with his older sister, who was having a baby.  He was about to become an uncle.  Josh thought that was mind-blowing!
They also had several toys that make you dizzy. Blurghwahhh (that's a puke sound).

Since we were in Bountiful, Dad was able to stop by for a while between appointments.  The boys dragged him all over the place - even down to the river.  Of course, David had already been to the park before, but he let the boys show him everything anyway.

Later that night, as the boys were SUPPOSED to be getting ready for bed, Quinton and an undisclosed brother (okay, it was Bron) got in a scuffle over a remote control.  Quinton fell and hit his head on the basement (basically cement covered in a thin pad and carpet) floor.  Hard.  Hard enough that he started throwing up.  So off we went to after-hours urgent care to check for a concussion

He had to get an X-ray

And he did an excellent job of holding still.

Brave boy.

He sure doesn't look too bad anymore!  It was determined that he had a mild concussion, but hadn't broken any bones. So we just had to watch him for a day or two.

You know, as I think about how rough these boys are and how rowdy they get, I should thank heaven that we aren't in urgent care more often!
