The tournament was two days long. The first day was a round robin and day two was a bracket based off of the round robin. Our coaches had so many players that they decided to make two teams. They split up Nicole and her best friend Charly. This did not make either girl very happy. The coaches were trying to be fair by splitting up their two best players, but the rest of us felt like they should have made an A team and a B team so that we had a chance of winning the tournament. Anyway....
Day One: Nciole's team lost all their games. Charly's team won all of theirs. That meant that Nicki's team was seeded last and Charly's team was seeded first. They would face off in the first round of the tournament.
Day Two: Nicole's team barely beat Charly's team! This was a big deal because their coaches (husband and wife) were each coaching a team and had lots of family bragging rights on the line! The upset caused the two teams to have to face off again in the semi finals. Again, Nicki's team won - this time pretty decisively. Nicki's team had to battle a team that had beat them in day one. But by now, Nicki's team was on fire and they won!
