More Summer Pictures

This may have been our favorite activity so far!  I placed a couple of kitchen chairs near our stair railing, then strung yarn between them like the lasers you see in spy movies.  

And the kids spent hours trying to get through them like spies.  They even called in some of their friends from the neighborhood to try it out.  

We ended up leaving it up overnight so they could play a little bit more in the morning.

I took this picture "selfie style" while holding on to the baby, so I accidentally chopped of Bronson's head, but it's just so cute!  Bronson loves his "little" brother.

A few pipe cleaners and a colander make for a fun Tech-Free Tuesday activity.

My mom discovered a nature center in Farmington and took us all there one Tuesday morning.  It was AMAZING!!!  They have a little trailer-sized building FULL of fun, informational, hands-on activities for young scientists and environmentalists.  We'll be going back often.  Here, Bronson is stamping footprints in a sand box.  See all the choices he has hanging from the chain on the wall?  And he can smooth them out with a squeegee and start over again and again.  

Alison and Grandma are looking over the many animal pelts.  Each one has a clue card so you can figure out what kind of animal it's from.

This is totally gross and really cool at the same time.  They have a bunch of owl pellets that you can dissect. You can find mouse skulls, etc. in them.  Ewwwww.  And Cewwwwwl. 

Nicole is looking at the brine shrimp through a magnifying glass.  They're fascinating!

So, outside the trailer is a huge nature reserve with walkways, ponds, Blue Heron nests (above) and all kinds of wildlife.

Here, we're watching a pelican and listening to a bull frog.  So fun!

Another day, we met Kristin and her kids at a really cool new park!  Check out the toys!  McKenna is in the red shorts, Payton and Nicole are on the teeter totter thingy and Kristin is cheering them on.

Joshua on some crazy rope jungle gym.  He's pretty high in the air.

Payton got this thing spinning so fast he couldn't stop.  It would make me lose my lunch for sure!
