Yes, that's right. Cookie turned 7 this year. In cat years, she's in her 40's. We didn't get to celebrate on her actual birthday because of other obligations, but we did celebrate a day or two later. We gave her gifts, ate tuna fish, and made cute cat cupcakes. What more could a cat want, right?

| One of the presents we bought Cookie was a little pouch filled with catnip. Alison insisted that we buy it. Dave and I didn't think it'd do much. Boy! Were we wrong! Cookie went berserk! She turned into a kitten again instantly! She tossed in in the air, pounced on it, flung it across the room and chased after it, rubbed her whole body on it, then laid on it like a pillow. A few seconds later, she'd pounce on it again and start all over. It was a hoot! She's holding it with three paws in this picture, only pausing in her revelry to insist that I stop taking photos. |
